EM:IP
is a quarterly publication that is aimed at practitioners and users of tests, as well as professional educators, legislators, school personnel, and interested citizens. Its primary purpose is to promote a better understanding of and reasoned debate on assessment, evaluation, testing, and related issues of practical importance to educators and the public. To this end, EM:IP publishes articles that are both timely and have the potential to advance the policies and practices of educational measurement. More information can be found on the EM:IP Publication page.

The Editor Will:

  • Select an Editorial Board
  • Interact with the Publications Committee and NCME Board liaison on issues related to EM:IP
  • Interact with publisher liaison
  • Oversee the manuscript review process, including making decisions on which manuscripts to accept for publication
  • Make decisions regarding EM:IP direction, including topics for special sections
  • Contribute editorials

Nominees should have appropriate experience reviewing manuscripts and publishing research on educational measurement. Self-nominations are welcome.

Please send nominations to Susan Davis-Becker, co-chair, NCME Publications Committee (sdavisbecker@acsventures.com). Nominations should briefly explain how the individual is qualified to perform the duties of EM:IP editor and should be accompanied by the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae.
