NCME is excited to announce that the Call for Proposals for our 2026 Annual Meeting is now available! The NCME Board has collectively decided to hold this year’s annual meeting in Los Angeles, California, from April 8-11, 2026. Wednesday, April 8, is the in-person training day, and program sessions will run from Thursday, April 9 through Saturday, April 11.
The theme for the 2026 NCME Annual Meeting is Moving Measurement Forward. The theme emphasizes exploring innovative approaches that advance the science and practice of measurement. We encourage submissions that challenge traditional paradigms, highlight inclusive and equitable assessment practices, and demonstrate how measurement can better inform teaching, learning, and decision-making in a rapidly changing world. For the 2026 Annual Meeting, we encourage submissions aligned with this mission goal, but we note that alignment is not required for acceptance.
The Call includes directions for each of seven types of submission proposals. Please see the call for details about each session type.
Please consider submitting your proposal and/or volunteering to be a reviewer, session chair, and/or a discussant. We look forward to reviewing your submissions and hope to see you all in Los Angeles. If you have comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us at NCMEProgramChairs@ncme.org.
We will communicate separately once the submission portal is open. Proposals will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. PDT on Friday, September 12, 2025. We have extended the submission window relative to past years to allow everyone sufficient time to complete their proposals. In planning your submission, please do not expect an extension to the deadline.
Sincerely,
