NCME 2021 CONFERENCE
INDIVIUDAL PRESENTATION SESSION FORMATS

We are very excited about the opportunities within the virtual format for the NCME 2021 conference.  You should have received an email from the NCME system about the session format for your presentation. Below we have provided some basic information about each session type but will share more as the plans for the virtual format are finalized.

  • Paper Sessions will either by 60 minutes (3 paper presentations) or 90 minutes (5 paper presentations). The moderator will introduce the session and each presentation. Each presenter will have 15 minutes to share their research with session attendees. The research presentations will be followed by a Discussant who will provide thoughts on the research. Session attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session (chat function) or during the final Q&A led by the Moderator.
  • Research Blitz sessions will be 60 minutes and include a series of 5-minute presentations on a given measurement topic. The moderator will introduce the session and each presenter will share the highlights of their research. Session attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session (chat function) or during the final Q&A led by the Moderator.
  • Electronic Board sessions will be 60 or 90 minutes. Session attendees will be able to browse the presentation titles and topics and select Electronic Boards to visit. Presenters will prepare some overview information that will be displayed to attendees and then engage in a live discussion space where attendees can ask questions. We will provide examples of the Electronic Board space soon!

All presenters will be asked to submit their papers by May 3 and attendees will be able access all papers for download.
